My Eating Plan

The original idea was to become sugar-free to get healthier, lose weight and free my mind of food cravings so I can reorganize my life the way my soul wants.  By experimenting with different ways to eat, I hope to find a style of eating that really works for me.  Committing to it for at least one year will hopefully make a strong habit that is easy to continue as a sugar-free lifestyle.

My food choices are informed by Eat Right 4 Your Type (ER4YT) by Peter J. D’Adamo.  FYI – I am blood type A.

I get a lot of recipes from The Body Ecology Diet (BED) by Donna Gates, and her website.

A lot of my ideas, portions and combinations have been based on the www.KaySheppard.com (KS) Recovery for Food Addiction (RFA) plan, and are evolving, as I see what works for my body and mind.  I still stick to some basic tenets of that plan, which are:

NO REFINED food, including SUGAR, FLOUR and WHEAT.

OTHER GUIDELINES:

4 meals per day, approximately 5 hours apart

1 T. oil per day

2 T. condiment per day

4 cups total of daily vegetables should be half cooked and half raw

Include a great variety of foods; don’t eat the same food every day.

Meals and snacks can be rearranged at times, to avoid timing and logistical problems with my schedule

Very limited caffeine and alcohol

Liquid sweeteners stevia and xylitol

Schedule, portion control and balanced nutrients are:

I am taking an amazing multivitamin supplement from Great Cleanse called GREAT CLEANSE ESSENTIALS, which I order from  www.greatcleanse.com.  It has all the basic vitamins and lots of trace nutrients.  It also has cleansing nutrition, that helps my body eliminate toxins.  I would normally have to purchase these nutrients separately, at additional cost.  When I researched all the ingredients, I could see that it was a great value.  I have taken professional grade, quality vitamins all my adult life, but this is one of the very few I felt a positive difference after taking, and the ONLY one I ever missed if I ran out.
